On April 22, 2008, the Chamber hosted its first welcome reception for those who have moved to the Great Bend area within the last 2 years. From 6:02-8:02 p.m., newcomers were invited to come and enjoy free appetizers and free beer, along with the opportunity to meet and greet other Great Bend newcomers in the upstairs of the Legends Fine Art Gallery at 1901 Lakin in Great Bend.
