Committee
Provide educational opportunities to inform students and business people
of the major importance of agriculture's economic impact on the community
and region. Organize Kid's Ag Day program for Barton County 4th graders,
promote AgriTourism - "Day in the Country", and serve as a resource to
research and promote new markets for agriculture products.

Leadership
Golden Belt
An outstanding leadership development program created in 1985 in Great
Bend for the purpose of seeking out, motivating and preparing business
men and women to accept future leadership roles in the community. The
program now branches out to Barton, Pawnee, Rush and Stafford Counties
under the auspices of the Golden Belt Community Foundation, which supports
non-profit organizations in central Kansas. Leadership Golden Belt follows
guidelines from Kansas Health Foundation, an organization that promotes
leadership in communities around the state.
Barton
County Young Professionals
Offers innovative ways for young professional aged 21- 40ish in the Great
Bend area to socialize and explore their professional horizons. Plan
and organize socials and help establish a new generation of leaders.
Great Bend High
School Alumni Association
As a recruitment tool, the Chamber partners with Great Bend High School
to encourage former students to "come home" to raise their families and
make a difference in our business community with their professional expertise
and skill-sets.
Expo
Complex
With more than 50 events held annually at the Expo Complex, your business
can rent the facilities or attend one of the many events that take place
at two spacious facilities that are located 2.6 miles west of State Route
56 on 10th street. Expo I, comprising 15,000 square feet, rents for $300
per day. Expo II, which has 25,000 square feet, rents for $400 per day.
There is a $125 cleaning fee, if cleaning is required following usage.

Beautification
Committee
Thanks to volunteers related to this organization, Great Bend never looked
so good. Utilizing private donations, Beautification plants flowers in
public spaces, weeds gardens and even organizes the grooming of Great
Bend's distinctive Broadway Islands. Contact the Beautification Chair
Dortha Keenan, 620-792-2128, to get involved with this worthwhile organization.
