Three businesses in Great Bend are joining together to help grant Christmas wishes for local children and teens through Saint Francis Community Services Christmas for Kids program. Coldwell Banker Sell Real Estate in Great Bend, along with Wal-Mart and Eagle Radio will be joining forces to kick-off a toy drive to help children and youth in need.Through Christmas for Kids, Christmas wishes are fulfilled for children in Saint Francis foster care, adoption, family preservation, and residential treatment programs. Through the kind generosity of individual supporters and community partners, Saint Francis Christmas for Kids provides presents to children and teens, ages newborn to eighteen. Individuals can help a child in need this holiday season by dropping off a toy donation at the Wal-Mart in Great Bend. Coldwell Banker, Eagle Radio and Saint Francis Community Services staff will be present on Sunday, December 2nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturday, December 8th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect toys in support of Saint Francis Christmas for Kids. All the toys and funds from this drive will help the more than 170 children being served by Saint Francis in Barton County.From dolls and trucks to video games and game consoles, the variety of the gifts collected through Christmas for Kids and the value of them is immeasurable. With a toy donation or a financial gift of as little as $25, a child at Saint Francis will receive a Christmas present, as well as memories to last a lifetime.
