Barton Community College and the Kansas Section of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers International will present the 27th annual Corrosion Control Seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Midwest Utility and Pipeline Training Center and Barton’s Technical Building and Science and Math Building.Personnel from utility companies, municipalities, transmission companies, pipeline and corrosion contractors and others in the oil and gas field are encouraged to attend this seminar. Exhibitors will also be on hand to showcase the latest industry-specific technology and techniques.Barton Coordinator of Workforce Training Projects and Events Krystall Barnes said the convention is ideal for all industry personnel, regardless of experience level.“People who are new to the industry can get high quality training, and if they pass their hands-on tests, they get a certificate that can help them get hired somewhere or get promoted,” she said. “We also have more specific sessions for people who have been in the industry for a while.
