Christian Outreach Meeting hosted by Critter Ministries

Friday, January 11 at 6:30 p.m., a Christian Outreach Meeting will be held to start a movement to get people back into local churches. The meeting location is the courtyard at the Best Western Angus Inn Motel, 2920 10th Street in Great Bend. There will be no admission fee and all are welcome. The meeting being held to ‘Change the Face of a Nation’…through the promises of God in Scriptures by Salvation, Love, Grace and Relationship with Jesus Christ and not by religion.

This is a night to learn about Critter Ministries and to praise and worship. Reverend Crider of Albert Kansas will be speaking; as well as Pastor David LeRoy (Great Bend) and Pastor Chuck Baker (McPherson). Special guest, Terry Fellers will also put on a musical performance! Free refreshments will be served such as; coffee, tea, and cookies. The night will be fun filled and they will be giving out prize giveaways such as the Grand prize: Up to $300 for rent, house/car payment or utilities (paid directly to creditor) and $100 Wal-Mart gift card other prizes include hundreds of dollars in various gift cards.

Reverend Arthur Crider and his wife, Mindy hope to spread the word about their new evangelic Christian ministry in Barton County by holding various public events in the next few months. They call their new ministry ‘Critter Ministry’ as a play on words because their last name sounds like ‘critter’ and critter is a word that means ‘any creature’. The new ministry wants to stress that all are welcome in the ministry regardless of lifestyle, previous denomination or past choices. Rev. Crider stated, “It doesn’t matter what denomination you are and it doesn’t matter if you someone dressed in a suit or has tattoos. We’ve got to learn to look at the inside of somebody, instead of the outside… If churches as a whole would put more emphasis on seeing people as they are, I think we would see the churches filled.” This meeting is to help local people renew their spirit and gain the opportunity to feel welcome in worship. “We want to get people to fill the churches” says Crider.
